Ranged Weapon
Wield Item.
Requires: 1 General Wealth
Deal 1 additional Damage with your Ranged Attack while Wielding this Item. Your chosen Flavor below also changes your Ranged Attack's Damage Type. (These effects apply to any Abilities that perform a Ranged Attack as a part of their effects.) You do not need to retrieve thrown items or ammo, provided you have access to your pack.
Flavors (Choose 1):
- Shoot Blunt. Solid/Blunt Damage at Shooting Distance(16u).
- Shoot Sharp. Solid/Sharp Damage at Shooting Distance(16u).
- Thrown Blunt. Fluid/Blunt Damage at Throwing Distance(8u). Comes with the Melee and Quiet Upgrades.
- Thrown Sharp. Fluid/Sharp Damage at Throwing Distance(8u). Comes with the Melee and Quiet Upgrades.
- Custom. With GM approval, you may be able to choose another Damage Type.
All "Thrown ..." Flavors also come with the Quiet Upgrade.
Item Search Tiers:
- [..6] You gain no item.
- [7..] C: As written.
- [10..] A: You can add 1 Upgrade.
- [10!] S: You can add a second Upgrade.
Upgrades:
- Energy. You always have ammo for this weapon, even without access to your pack. For "Thrown ..." weapons or weapons you flavor to not require a launcher of some kind, you must still hold or wear a token of some kind granting you access to the ammo.
- Long Range. Increase the range from Throwing Distance(8u) to Shooting Distance(16u) or from Shooting Distance(16u) to Sniping Distance(100u).
- Magical. Common Weakness of ethereal beings.
- Melee. Your Ranged Attack can ignore the "Close Combat" penalty.
- Piercing. When a target only takes Damage to their Shield, you may also deal 1 Damage directly to their Health, provided their Health is above 0.
- Quiet. Your Ranged Attack counts as Quiet when using this weapon.
- Recalling. You can recall this weapon to your hands as a Reaction to starting your Turn or starting an Ability without it. You can count as Wielding the weapon for the triggering Ability.
- Silver. Common Weakness of shapeshifters.
