Stealth

Time: Action Target: Self
Test: *Covert Skill

Choose a Covert Skill for the Test. You gain Persistent Stacks of the Stealth Condition that corresponds with your chosen Covert Skill (Sneaky for Sneaking, Subtle for Subtlety, and Hidden for Hiding):

During Freeplay, you instead gain Stacks of Unseen, regardless of your Covert Skill choice.

For reference:

Hidden

You can, optionally, give up 1 Stack to reduce all incoming Damage by 1 (before applying Defenses) and gain an Advantage on a Save.

You can also lose Stacks of Hidden if others succeed at using the Counter Stealth Ability against you.

Hidden is a Stealth Condition that applies to Encounters.

Subtle

You can, optionally, give up 1 Stack to gain an Advantage on an Ability Test.

You can also lose Stacks if others succeed at using the Counter Stealth Ability against you.

Subtle is a Stealth Condition that applies to Encounters.

Sneaky

You can, optionally, give up 1 Stack to Move without triggering Reactions.

You can also lose Stacks if others succeed at using the Counter Stealth Ability against you.

Sneaky is a Stealth Condition that applies to Encounters.

Sneaking out of an Encounter

To escape an Encounter and return to Freeplay, the Adventurers will need to let the GM know their intent to do so, then strive to end a Round with all Adventurers having 3 or more Stealth Condition Stacks each. At that point, the game will return to Freeplay and the Adventurers will need to avoid the Alert enemies, maintaining their stacks of Unseen to prevent the game entering an Encounter again.

Unseen

When you Fail a Covert Skill Test in Freeplay, all creatures in True Shooting Distance(16u) gain a stack of Alert. If the creature was already at 2 stacks of Alert, you instead lose 1 Stack of Unseen. If you reach 0 stacks of Unseen, an Encounter begins.

Unseen is a Stealth Condition that applies to Freeplay.
