Advantage
For each Advantage that you have on a Test you will roll an additional d10
. The highest d10
will then be used as the die result when calculating your Score the Test. An Advantage usually remains in effect until the circumstances that imposed it are no longer relevant. Abilities that give you an Advantage will generally describe how long it lasts.
When you have both Advantages and Disadvantages, they cancel each-other out at a rate of one-to-one. After canceling out, the total number of Advantages or Disadvantages remaining is capped at 3. This means you will only ever need 4 or fewer 10-sided dice for any one Test.
If a Critical Roll is rolled as one of the dice in a Test with an Advantage, resolve the Critical Roll for each die separately before determining which die is the highest or lowest. This may mean you get to ignore a Failing Score, as there may be a higher die result.
