Airless Zone
[summary:: Inflicts Silenced and can inflict Choked]
When a creature starts their turn touching an Airless Zone or when they touch a Airless Zone for the first time on their turn, the creature experiences the following effects:
- The creature gains 1 stack of Silenced for each stack of Airless Zone.
- If the creature would gain stacks of Silenced beyond 2 stacks, they must Pass a Grit Save or gain a stack of Choked. The Choked Condition becomes a Fleeting Condition upon leaving the Airless Zone.
Before a creature enters this Zone, they can choose to hold their breath. Doing so has the following effect:
- The creature gains two stacks of Silenced as a Persistent Condition. It becomes a Fleeting Condition again when they next breathe air.
- The creature can automatically succeed the Saves for this Zone while holding their breath.
A creature can only hold their breath for a number of Turns equal to 5 plus their Athletics Skill. Speaking or casting spells that require vocal components count as an end to holding your breath.
Creatures that do not need to breathe are not affected by an Airless Zone.
