Poison
Use Item. Debuff effect.
Requires: 1 Grey Wealth
Flavor: Choose one of the Core Fleeting Conditions.
Use up this item to perform one of the following Abilities:
[Time:: Free Action] [Target:: A weapon in Swinging Distance that isn't held by a hostile entity]
[Effect:: Buff]
Apply Poison to the target weapon, affecting the next Basic Attack with that same weapon. A weapon can only have one Consumed Item on it at a time and can be removed from a weapon by spending a Beat.
The next target of a Basic Attack with the weapon must Pass a Grit Save or be affected by the Poison.
The poison can also be applied in other ways, like sneaking it into food or drink. Ask your GM before improvising.
Item Search Tiers determine the Poison's full effect:
- [0!] F: You slipped up. You gain no item and you immediately gain a random stack of a Core Fleeting Condition until you next use a Recovery.
- [..6] You gain no item.
- [7..9] C: The target gain one stack of the chosen Fleeting Condition.
- [10..] A: The target gains two stacks of the chosen Fleeting Condition.
- [10!] S: The target gains a stack of the Fleeting Condition as a Persistent Condition for 1 day. Flip a coin. If you guess it, you have an antidote for the poison as well that can be taken or applied as an Action.
- Delayed Release.
- When applying a Poison, you can specify a delay. The Poison will only take effect after it has affected the target and the delay has passed.
- Complex.
- Weaponized.
