Melee Weapon
Wield Item.
Requires: 1 General Wealth
Deal 1 additional Damage with your Melee Attack while Wielding this Item. Your chosen Flavor below also changes your Melee Attack's Damage Type. (These effects apply to any Abilities that perform a Melee Attack as a part of their effects.)
You can, optionally, apply the same effects to a Ranged Attack. Doing so will result in you throwing this weapon. As a result, you will no longer Wielding it and will need to pick it up again as a Free Action from the surface directly below your chosen target before this Item can be used again.
Flavors (Choose 1):
- Blunt. Solid/Blunt Damage.
- Sharp. Solid/Sharp Damage.
- Custom. With GM approval, you may be able to choose another Damage Type.
Item Search Tiers:
- [..6] You gain no item.
- [7..] C: As written.
- [10..] A: You can add 1 Upgrade.
- [10!] S: You can add a second Upgrade.
Upgrades:
- Chain. Your Melee Attack deals 1 extra Damage on a Low Score, but 1 less Damage on a High Score.
- Magical. Common Weakness of ethereal beings.
- Piercing. If you ever only deal damage to a target's Shield, you may also deal 1 damage directly to their Health, provided that their Health is not already at 0.
- Pry. The Melee Attack Forced Entry Penalties does not apply (A Forced Entry is Noisy instead of Loud.)
- Reach. Can make a Melee Attack from Spearing Distance(2u).
- Silver. Common Weakness of shapeshifters.
- Sweeping. With a Passing Score, you can also deal 1 Damage of your Flavor's type to another creature within Melee Attack range of you.
- Whip. Optionally, you can choose to deal half Damage (rounded down) to ignore the Improvised Maneuver Penalty of your Melee Attack. You must choose to do so before performing the Test.
