Command
Time: Action Target: A creature in Shooting Distance(16u)
Test: Mage Stat Strained Save: Edge
Speak a one-word Command.
If the target Passes the Edge Save, they gain one stack of Charmed. If they Fail the Edge Save they gain two stacks of Charmed.
If the target has two stacks of Charmed after the Save, you compel them to obey the Command as a Free Reaction to this Spell. The GM may ask the target to give up a Beat if the resulting action would take a Beat otherwise. Similarly, the target may need to pay other costs or gain Status Conditions (also determined by the GM.)
If the Command is not one of the Reliable Commands below, the target can choose to interpret a Command how they wish. The Reliable Commands always have the following effects:
- Approach.
- The target uses Movement equal to its largest Movement Style to move along the most direct route to you. The target then gains one stack of Slowed.
- Clap/Drop/Wave.
- The target drops whatever it's holding, including any and all Wielded Items. The target also gains one stack of Restrained.
- Faint/Grovel/Kneel/Sleep.
- Flee/Retreat.
- Go/March/Run/Walk.
- Halt/Stop.
- The target gains two stacks of Slowed.
A creature affected by this Spell knows you have used magic on them. If one of your Commands causes the target to take Damage, they then lose all stacks of Charmed toward you.
Upgrades:
- Dominating.
- You gain more Reliable Commands including the following:
- Attack.
- The target will make a Melee Attack against a valid target of your choice, provided it can spend a Beat to do so. (Without this Upgrade, the GM or Player can choose who to attack, if anyone.)
- Boogie/Dance/Freeze/etc.
- The target gains one stack of Slowed and one stack of Restrained.
- Forget/Rethink.
- The target will lose Concentration on one Ability of its choice.
- Attack.
- You gain more Reliable Commands including the following:
- Echoed.
- You can target all creatures in a Huge(4u) Sphere Shape that is within Shooting Distance(16u).
- Pointed.
- You gain more Reliable Commands including the following:
- Disrobe/Strip/Undress.
- The creature will begin to remove its clothes. It gains one stack of Slowed and one stack of Restrained. Immediately after ending their next Turn, the target gains a stack of Vulnerable. (Without this Upgrade, the creature may remove one smaller article of clothing at the GM's discretion.)
- Divulge.
- The target reveals information that they have been hesitant to share. The information is pertinent to the current conversation or line of questioning. The information revealed will be true to their knowledge and understanding. (Without this Upgrade, the creature will likely reveal a random secret that it knows.)
- Look.
- The target gains a stack of Vulnerable.
- Disrobe/Strip/Undress.
