Bend Fire
[Time:: Action] [Target:: Up to a Medium Sized patch of fire in Shooting Distance]
[Components:: Health and Vitality]
[Test:: Mage Stat Concentrating]
Regardless of your Mage Stat Score, this Ability takes effect.
Control fire you can see within range. The fire being manipulated must fit within a 1u cube. Fire manipulated by this Ability counts as a Fire Zone if it fills a cube or more of space.
You can manipulate the fire in one of the following ways:
- Move.
You can temporarily move the fire 1u in any direction. - Spread.
- You can spread the fire, creating an adjacent patch of fire that is up to 1u cube in size.
- Suppress.
- You can temporarily extinguish up to a 1u cube of flames. If this suppression is maintained for 12 seconds (2 rounds), it becomes permanent.
- Colorize.
- You can change a fire's color.
- Animate.
- You can form simple, faltering shapes in the heart of the fire and animate them. (Examples: A deer running through a forest jumping over fallen logs.)
The fire will only last in a new location if there is some form of fuel present or if you maintain your Focus on the Ability. Losing Focus may, therefore, cause a chosen effect to end. As an Action, you can dismiss or change the effect you chose without rerolling Focus. For example, you can move a flame 2u by using 2 Actions.

- Your Move option is stronger in the following ways:
- Intensity. Requires Level 10.
- When creating or manipulating fire, you can choose to make the result into a Fire Zone with two stacks.
