Slow Action
You must start a "Slow Action" on your Turn by spending a Beat. At that time you must also choose your target, be that creature(s) or a target area for a Shape (the Ability will describe what target type it has.) The Slow Action won't do anything until the start of your next Turn, at which time you will determine the Ability's Score, and it will take effect based on what Score you got. A creature cannot use the same Slow Action Ability more than once per Turn.
Between the time of starting your Slow Action and the start of your next Turn (when it would take effect) your Slow Actions can be interrupted in the following ways:
- If you become Restrained.
- If the target of Slow Action is invalid when it comes time to determine its Score. This includes if you target a point for a Shape (like the Cone Shape or the Line Shape,) then move (or are moved) in a way that makes that point invalid.
- If one of the Requirements of the Slow Action cannot be met when it comes time to determine its Score.
Slow Action also gain Disadvantages for missing Components when it comes time to roll its Ability Skill Test (the same way Abilities do.)
If a Slow Action can target an area or a creature, you may choose targets that are initially invalid (due to being out or range, sight, etc.) It is only when the Slow Action takes effect that a target's validity will count.
