Effect: Buff

You equip a shield (or something similar) to protect yourself. The shield can be dropped as a Free Action, as the result of being Disarmed, or by becoming Unconscious. Your shield can be stowed in your pack as an Action. Removing your shield ends this Ability.

Prepare the following Action while your shield is equipped:

Shields Up

Time: Action Target: Self

Set your Shield to 2.

Upgrades:

Tower.
- As an added effect, your tower shield counts as the half cover required to impose the the "Concealed" Penalty of Abilities like Ranged Attack or Magic Attack.
Heavy(1). Requires Level 5.
- The Shields Up Action can set your Shield to 3.
Heavy(2). Requires Level 10.
- The Shields Up Reaction can set your Shield to 4.
